IT Infrastructure Specialist

As an infrastructure specialist at Avida, you will be managing and evolving Avida’s core technical platforms. You work across the whole company, contribute to projects and perform the daily operations, working both with product teams and teams in IT. This is a hands-on operational role where you’ll be playing a key role in the organization. Your daily work will include configuration, installation and troubleshooting, both hardware and software issues. When you see something in need of improvement, you are proactive in recommending better tools, equipment or processes. The whole organization has a high focus on working smarter and automating using the right technology. 

Having a broad technical expertise, you work within the IT operations team, where your focus will be on infrastructure, from on premise to cloud, and manage our devops services to support CI/CD and the application teams. You are also keen to lend a hand on managing client machines and you are constantly driving for automated solutions that scale.

You understand the benefit of being service minded, when dealing with customers as well as colleagues. Being genuinely excited about solving problems, on your own or together with others, is something that comes natural to you.

This position is based at our headquarters in Stockholm, where your primary team is located. You will frequently cooperate with our business teams in Norway and Finland. A working permit in Sweden and good knowledge in Swedish is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations within infrastructure, including cloud, server management and client
• Drive and contribute technically to projects
• Assist and contribute technical expertise in solving problems in cross functional groups
• Develop and maintain processes within infrastructure management. Make sure documentation is adequate and up to date.
• Continuously build and expand on the orchestration and monitoring of the applications, servers and other infrastructure

 Qualifications

• Strong foundation and experience of Windows server management (incl. Hyper-V) and Azure
• Experience of Active Directory and structure according to best practice
• Experience of DNS management
• Experience of any of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Experience of managing infrastructure, networks and firewalls
• Experience of managing storage solutions, including backup and Storage Area Network (SAN)
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player with can-do attitude and continuous learner

Preferred qualifications

• Experience of working with information security
• Experience of database administration
• Experience of Unix/Linux server management
• Experience of infrastructure as code
• Experience in disaster recovery
